The YWCA Cambridge works closely with racial justice organizations and community groups in the Cambridge area. We are engaged in racial justice work through housing advocacy and events such as our annual Stand Against Racism, a campaign intended to build community among those who work for racial justice, and to raise awareness about the negative impact of institutional and structural racism.
In 2018, YWCA Cambridge's Stand Against Racism event focused on Women of Color running for office, getting involved in campaigns, and registering to vote. This event was the launch of our Get Out to Vote campaign. This campaign is centered on getting Cambridge residents registered to vote and educate on early voting, where to vote, and what is on the ballot.
