Racial & Social Justice Advocacy

The YWCA Cambridge works closely with racial justice organizations and community groups in the Cambridge area. We are engaged in racial justice work through housing advocacy and events such as our annual Stand Against Racism, a campaign intended to build community among those who work for racial justice, and to raise awareness about the negative impact of institutional and structural racism.

Our current Advocacy work is focused on GOTV (Get Out The Vote) and the 2020 Census. YWCA Cambridge is committed to getting people to register to vote and to complete their census questionnaires. Make sure to follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter for information on how you can get involved and help with these important local and national initiatives.

Thank you to The Cummings Foundation and Amgen Foundation for funding the Racial and Social Justice Advocacy Department.
