YWCA Cambridge is a cornerstone for providing safe, affordable accommodations for women and families and an advocate for human rights.

We have 103 units of single room occupancy (SRO) housing for single women our Tanner Residence. We also have a 10-bed shelter for homeless families, the YWCA is the city’s largest residential housing provider for women.

Artist of the Month

Throughout the month of May, YWCA Cambridge will be featuring Portraits by Lizzy Affa. Stop by on May 10 from 6-8pm to meet the artist and check out the collection! 

Lizzy is an Editorial, Portrait, and Fine Art photographer based in New England. She was born in Massachusetts (1988), received a BFA from Lesley University College of Art and Design (formerly The Art Institute of Boston), and is a graduate of the New England School of Photography. Through rich color palettes and thoughtful lighting, Lizzy’s photographs tell visual narratives. Her ongoing portrait series highlights the beauty, uniqueness, and confidence of her subjects.
